  1. Start a meeting to get a one-time code, or join a meeting using a code you were given.
  2. Share the code (or the link) with up to 3 other people however you'd like — chat, email, or read it out loud.
  3. Everyone who tries to join has to knock, and the host accepts or denies each request.
  4. Once admitted, chat, send files, and share your screen or camera live with the whole group.

All processing happens entirely in your browser. Your data never leaves your device.

About Meet

Video calling has become an essential communication tool for remote work, education, and personal connections. Most video call platforms require account creation, app installation, and sometimes paid subscriptions — creating friction and privacy concerns.

ForgeKit Meet is a peer-to-peer video calling solution built on WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication), the browser-standard technology for real-time audio, video, and data transmission. WebRTC establishes direct connections between participants' browsers, meaning your audio and video streams travel directly between devices without being routed through (or stored on) a central server.

With ForgeKit Meet, the host creates a meeting and gets a one-time code. Participants join using that code and must be approved by the host — no surprise guests. Once connected, everyone can use their camera and microphone, share their screen, chat, and send files. No accounts, no installations, no recordings, no data collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. There is no account creation, no login, and no personal information collected. The host starts a meeting, gets a code, and shares it with participants.

No. ForgeKit Meet uses peer-to-peer WebRTC connections. Audio, video, and files are transmitted directly between browsers and are not routed through or stored on any server.

Up to 4 participants (including the host). This limit ensures good performance since WebRTC peer-to-peer connections scale in a mesh topology.

If a participant's connection drops, they can rejoin using the same meeting code. The host will need to approve them again for security.

Screen sharing is supported on desktop browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge). Mobile browser support for screen sharing depends on the OS and browser version.
